Transfer News: Conor Coady on the radar of Tottenham

According to transfer news from Football.london, Wolves star Conor Coady is said to be on the radar of Tottenham. Spurs are looking at a potential defensive overhaul and the English defender is among the names being considered.

Conor Coady rose through the youth ranks of Liverpool but he made just two first-team appearances for the Reds. He was snapped up by Wolves in the summer of 2015 following his impressive displays at Huddersfield and he has since gone on to make a staggering 275 appearances for the club in all competitions.

It would seem as if Fabio Paratici is already hard at work to repair some of the damage from last season. Firstly, a new manager was needed and Nuno Espirito Santo was hired for the same. Next in line is what looks like a defensive shake-up of the side.

With most of the central defenders at the club not having the best of seasons, it appears that a new defender is on the club’s wishlist. Links to the 28-year-old Conor Coady have been doing the rounds but a deal for the Wolves star looks a long shot. He signed a new deal just last season and could be a difficult name to prise away.

In all honesty, Spurs are in dire need of a new defender. Toby Alderweireld has asked to leave and someone equally good will have to be brought in. Coady may fit the bill of what Spurs need but getting him will be a bigger problem.
