Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspur set to sell seven players this summer
According to transfer news from Eurosport, Tottenham are ready to sell seven of their first-team stars to raise funds. Fabio Paratici is hoping to revamp the side by clearing out some players for a possible £100m. That will help them land some new signings for new manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
Tottenham are in a summer of change. With a new managing director and manager, Spurs are hoping to leave behind the ruins of last season and start afresh. Paratici’s first and foremost transfer priority will be to revamp the defence. Due to that, they are looking at several exits in defence as well as other positions.
Toby Alderweireld and Serge Aurier have asked to leave the club and could be let go. Then there is Cameron Carter-Vickers who will likely be offloaded on a permanent basis after several loan spells. Another defender such as Eric Dier or Davinson Sanchez could also be axed. (h/t Eurosport)
Coming to the midfield, Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko are facing exits after underwhelming seasons at the club. Lastly, there is the erratic Erik Lamela who is in the final year of his deal and a suitable offer would likely see him leave. Through these seven sales, Paratici is hoping to raise around £100m which would be used for new signings.

It is understandable that Spurs would want to freshen up the squad ahead of the new season. However, getting all of these players out is a huge ask. Nonetheless, Paratici will have to try and get as much as he can for them which will need to be reinvested into the side. An intriguing summer awaits.
