According to The Athletic (h/t Express), Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is still furious with superstar Harry Kane over the timing of his revelation of wanting an exit.

Reports of Kane wanting an exit came out in early May, even as the club fought to keep their European football hopes alive. It happened only a week or so after Jose Mourinho was sacked and former midfielder Ryan Mason was placed in charge of the team on an interim basis.

It was followed by an interview with Gary Neville during which Kane seemed to reiterate that he is not sure about his future at the club and will hold discussions with Levy over a potential transfer at the end of the season.

Soon after the campaign ended, though, Kane flew off to international duties with England for the UEFA Euro 2020. During this time, Tottenham have appointed a new manager and a sporting director in the form of Nuno Espirito Santo and Fabio Paratici.

The pair, as per the report, are yet to speak to Kane following their appointment, due to his involvement at the Euros. Currently away on a holiday, the England captain is expected to return to pre-season in early August, when talks over his future will be held.

However, it claims that Levy might not be involved in any talks as he is furious with Kane for the entire situation and the timing of it.

Levy remains intent on keeping hold of Kane beyond the summer. To that end, he has slapped a price tag of £150m in order to stave off interested parties, given the financial constraints faced by clubs due to the pandemic. Whether that tactic works remains to be seen, though.
