Nuno Espirito Santo was impressed with his side’s performance against MK Dons
Manager, Nuno Espirito Santo has talked about the “hard work”, “character” and the “talent” of his squad.
Tottenham Hotspur played a pre-season friendly against MK Dons at Stadium MK earlier this week. Spurs emerged victorious against The Dons by a 3-1 scoreline.
Speaking to Spurs TV the new boss said thought that his team were well organised. Going forward he praised the movement and the quality in possession.
However, he highlighted that his team could have scored more, suggesting that the player have to put their chances away.
Heung-Min Son, who recently signed a new contract, shared his thoughts post-game. He highlighted the importance of fans being back in the stadium, adding that the game is all about the supporters.
Tottenham vs MK Dons – important moments
The visiting team were awarded a penalty 5 mins into the game. However, Alfie Whiteman made amends and saved the penalty.
Son Heung-min opened the scoring for the visiting team. Lucas Moura’s pass cut open the MK Dons defence and Son scooped it into the back of the net.
Lucas Moura was again in the thick of the action. The Brazilian did brilliantly to beat his man before putting Son through who squared it to Alli. The former MK Dons player made it 2-0 for the Spurs.
Moura finally got his goal. The Brazilian intercepted the pass from MK Dons player and slotted past the keeper to make it 3-0 for the visitors.
The home club finally gave fans something to cheer about. John Freeman made the perfect connection after a Spurs clearance from an MK Dons corner.
