Tottenham Hotspur urged to sign Leeds United’s Patrick Bamford
Former England international Dean Ashton gave his piece about the recent Harry Kane saga. Ashton, in his interview with TalkSport (h/t Leeds Live) he suggested a replacement for Kane if he were to leave. Ashton believes that Patrick Bamford should be on Tottenham’s radar. However, he acknowledges that it would be hard to replace Harry Kane.
“You look at Bamford, who is of that ilk, who can lead the line, work incredibly hard, link the play”
He added Raul Jimenez and Danny Ings as another option to replace the England star. However, the Leeds Live report suggests that Bamford remains happy at the club and the Whites are not looking to sell.
Would Patrick Bamford fit into Tottenham Hotspur?
The biggest question currently among the Spurs fans would be if Kane leaves, who can be the replacement? Is Patrick Bamford the answer?
Leeds United signed Bamford in 2018. The player spent two years in the Championship with the club. The 27-year-old scored 25 goals in those two seasons and helped his club get promoted to the Premier League.
Despite his impressive performances in the Championship, questions were raised about him replicating in the Premier League. The striker bagged 17 goals and provided 8 assists in 38 Premier League appearances.
