Son speaks about mood in Tottenham camp ahead of Man City game and Kane speculation
According to Football.london, Son Heung-Min has spoken about the mood in the Tottenham camp amid speculation over Harry Kane ahead of the Man City game. Kane’s future has dominated headlines over the past week but Spurs are scheduled to kick off their Premier League campaign against City on Sunday.
If Spurs could do one thing it would be to forget last season. It is hard to believe that the side actually was at the top of the league midway through the season. However, things unravelled spectacularly over the next few months. Seventh place is all that was managed while the Carabao cup slipped out of their hands as well. Europe was far too embarrassing to even talk about.
Nonetheless, the new season brings new hope. The club have acted swiftly to address some of the persistent issues. Fabio Paratici was appointed as the sporting director, Nuno Espirito Santo was brought in as the manager. Transfers have also been done with the likes of Bryan Gil, Cristian Romero and Pierluigi Gollini arriving. However, there have been some dark clouds as Harry Kane’s future is yet to be sorted.
Son speaks out ahead of City game
Spurs begin their season on Sunday when Man City visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Ahead of the game, Tottenham star Son Heung-Min has spoken about the mood in the camp amid speculation over Kane.
“Everybody should be ready for every game, that is so important. There is a chance every game, we know how important that is. If you’re not focused, if you’re not ready, then every game we are going to struggle. That is why, in the pre-season, we are working really hard to try and make it as easy as possible for the coming season. We want to focus game by game to try and win the games and we will see when we arrive what we can achieve.”

The defending champions are likely to be a huge test for Spurs and they might have preferred some other side. While that can’t be changed, Spurs and Nuno can step up to the challenge and lay down a marker for the season ahead. A win will not be easy against Guardiola but it will send a statement of intent.
