Nuno Espirito Santo provides an update on Tottenham star Harry Kane
According to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano, Nuno Espirito Santo has provided an update on Tottenham star Harry Kane. The striker was left out of the Conference League game against Pacos de Ferreira but Nuno went on to clarify it was mostly for fitness reasons.
It has been an eventful summer for Spurs and Kane. The striker had made his wishes clear to the club that he wanted to leave this summer in search of silverware, with it being claimed that he had an agreement with Daniel Levy that he could leave if Tottenham finished outside top four or failed to win a trophy. Manchester City felt that they could come in with a swoop for Kane but Spurs have held firm so far. Chairman Daniel Levy has made it clear that he will not be sold despite record sums being offered (h/t Metro).
Over the weekend, Kane was seen missing from the line-up that faced City. While Spurs had no problems, questions were still there over Kane. In another interesting bit of development, the England captain was again excluded from the squad travelling to Portugal for the Conference League play-off game against Pacos de Ferreira. Nuno Espirito Santo went on to clarify his decision as well.
“Kane is feeling better. His fitness is getting better and better every day. He will join the group on Friday then we will make the decision [for Wolves match on Saturday]”

With Kane missing his second game in a row, it does pose serious concerns if there is a departure looming. It has already been a while that most of the England stars have returned to their Premier League sides and already featured in the opening game as well.
Kane still not returning to action clearly does not point to something good. Nonetheless, fans will have to wait till the Wolves game will to see if the 28-year-old does indeed play.
