Report: Tottenham star Harry Kane on PL rivals’ transfer shortlist for next year

Manchester United want Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane for next season

According to ESPN (h/t Daily Mail), Manchester United have already made plans for next season and that includes signing Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur. United are planning to make a blockbuster signing for next season and on the potential list of targets are Kane, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

Manchester United have been one of the more active sides in the ongoing transfer window. So far, they have already made three signings with some standout deals for the likes of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane. However, they have seemingly put off plans to sign a new striker for next season with Edinson Cavani likely to depart after this season.

Hence, they are keeping tabs on three star strikers for next season. Aside from Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, it is Harry Kane that completes their list. Kane’s future has been called into question over the summer as the striker has hinted that he wants to leave Spurs.

So far, Manchester City have been a notable side to show interest. But with both sides at an impasse, the current transfer window could see no deal taking place. That plays into the hands of United who are keen to snap him up next season as they will be in need to replace Edinson Cavani.

More Tottenham News

With City to fend off this season and possibly United in the next, Spurs will have some task keeping their star man. Although, getting Kane next season might be a bit easier with his contract edging another year closer to its expiration date in the summer of 2024. Spurs’s resolve will be tested without a doubt, but under no circumstances should they sell to rival clubs.
