Fans react as Tottenham eke out narrow 1-0 win over Wolves
Tottenham Hotspur made it two wins in two games in the Premier League this season as they beat Wolves 1-0 at the Molineux Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
It was hardly a vintage display, with the team having had to deal with intense pressure from the hosts for large parts of the game and were bailed out time and again by captain Hugo Lloris. However, in the end, a first-half penalty from Dele Alli was enough for Nuno Espirito Santo & co. to bag all three points on the Portuguese’s return to his former club.
Alli won the penalty in the ninth minute after being fouled by Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa and made no mistake from the spot to put Spurs in front. However, a second goal was never forthcoming courtesy of some top goalkeeping by the opposition stopper as well as some shoddy play for the Lilywhites.
Nonetheless, Tottenham will take the three points, with Harry Kane also returning to action at last. Despite all the speculations and rumours, the 28-year-old was named on the bench by Nuno and would eventually come on in the second half to replace Son Heung-min. The England captain almost scored a goal on his comeback, only to be denied by Sa.
While improvements need to be made, fans took to Twitter to celebrate the positive outcome and here are some of the reactions following another league win under Nuno. Up next is a game against Watford, and there will be some work needed before that comes around.

2 wins & 2 clean sheets to start the season COYS 🤍 Not the best performance but we got the 3 points today. Lloris is my MOTM with all the saves today, esp that 1v1 against Adama. Wolves goalie Sa was prime Neuer today with all those saves we should’ve scored at least 1 more
