Tottenham target Weston McKennie to remain at Juventus
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham target Weston McKennie will remain at Juventus. Spurs have not officially bid for him despite wanting him on loan earlier and new manager Max Allegri wants to keep him at Juve.
Within a short period of time, Weston McKennie has managed to make himself a household name in Europe. He made a name for himself at Schalke but it was not until Juventus signed him last season that he truly showcased his talents. The USA international is a regular for Juventus and was a bright spark for them in an otherwise gloomy last season.
Despite that, McKennie found himself linked with a move away from Juve. Spurs were among the most interested clubs to be after him. However, they were not keen on any swap deal for him and wanted an initial loan deal as claimed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano earlier. Several other Premier League clubs were also interested.
It would seem Spurs might not be getting their hands on McKennie for two reasons. Firstly, they did not make an official bid based on their interest. Secondly, Juve manager Max Allegri wants to keep the player as a part of his plans and has ruled out any potential sale as relayed by Romano.
Juventus manager Allegri: “Weston McKennie has to stay here at Juventus, he’s not for sale. He’s part of the project and he can improve”. Tottenham have never made any official bid. ⚪️🇺🇸 #Juve #THFC

Houssem Aouar and Weston McKennie not priority deals for Tottenham
Getting McKennie was never going to be the easiest task in the world. He is a good young player that is probably the future of Juventus. It has only been a season since he joined the club. If Spurs want a new midfielder, they might have to turn their attention away from McKennie.
