Paul Robinson all praise for Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy’s inclusion in the ECA
Speaking to Football Insider (h/t Football.london), Paul Robinson brandished quite the praise for Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and his inclusion in the ECA. The former Spurs keeper spoke about the respect Levy deserves for helping Tottenham progress in the last few decades.
Daniel Levy has always cut across as a divisive figure in the Premier League and European football. Not the easiest to deal with, Levy has been known to run the club with a strict hand of discipline. While trophies have been hard to come by, one cannot overlook the fact that Spurs have made tremendous progress under his leadership.
It would seem another honour was bestowed upon Levy when he was elected to be the Premier League representative in the European Club Association (ECA). He will be replacing Ed Woodward who stepped down after the whole Super League debacle. With the support of a number of Premier League clubs, Levy has been elected for the position.
Former Spurs keeper Paul Robinson praised Levy for the work he had done at Spurs and his appointment to the ECA.
“That comes from people that have dealt with him in business situations for a number of years now. I know Daniel and I hold him in very high regard from the dealings I have had with him. He has done an excellent job at Tottenham Hotspur and he has always had the best interest of the club at heart. He does what he thinks is right for the club.”

Robinson added that it speaks volumes of Levy’s reputation to be considered so highly by his peers. Levy’s appointment should not be a huge surprise. He is one of the most strategic and astute men in the business and knows a thing or two about the whole industry.
