Tottenham star Harry Kane urged to pick up his form by Stan Collymore
Speaking to Mirror (h/t Express), Stan Collymore has urged Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane to stop moping on his failed transfer and get back to form. The former Liverpool forward was the latest name to blast Kane over his poor form as he went on to claim that Kane will not get his dream move to Manchester City next season if he keeps on with this form.
It does not take a genius to figure out that Kane is struggling since the start of this season. The whole summer was dominated by a transfer saga to Manchester City. Kane wanted to leave but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy was not ready to let that happen at any offer from City. The forward had to change his mind and pledged to stay at Spurs.
However, when he stayed, Spurs did not expect this version of his to stay. So far, Kane is yet to score in the league and is looking like a shadow of himself. H has gone through four games in the league and one in Europe without getting a goal. It is rather concerning as Spurs are also starting to falter due to Kane’s form.
Collymore the latest to blast Kane
There were obvious pointers to the fact that Kane was not happy at missing out on the move to City. Former Liverpool forward Stan Collymore has now warned that based on Kane’s current form, City or any other club will not return for him.
“I told you about Harry Kane, didn’t I? He’s done at Tottenham. But if he thinks downing tools or being moody will get him a move to Manchester City — or any other club, for that matter — in January or next summer then he’s very much mistaken.”
He added that if Kane really wants a move away, the Spurs man needs to buckle down and start hitting those goals once again.
“Clubs will pay the dough for a focused Kane but not a pale imitation of the goalscorer supreme who gets just 10 goals this season. So if he wants City to come again then he must stop moping and get about doing the business just as he always has done.”

Kane’s current form is really not benefitting anyone. Tottenham are losing games and his case for a potential move is getting hampered. This is really unfamiliar territory for Kane and Spurs but they must find a way out of it and rather soon.
