Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo vows to improve as Arsenal clash nears
According to Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espirito Santo has vowed that his side will make improvements as the Arsenal clash nears. The Portuguese stayed optimistic about his side’s chances over the next few games.
Nuno is under immense pressure no doubt. After three wins on the trot, Tottenham have been brought back to reality. In the last 10 days or so, Spurs have lost two games and drawn the other. They were comprehensively beaten in those games and looked rather blunt. That led to them losing ground in the league standings.
Tottenham have two very important games in the next few days. First up is a knockout tie against Wolves in the Carabao Cup. That will be their opening tie of the tournament as Nuno takes on his former side. Then comes the crunch fixture against Arsenal on Sunday in the North London derby.
Speaking ahead of the Wolves game, Nuno has promised to produce better showings from his side.
“We are positive. It’s about trying to build during the competition, we don’t have too much time on the training ground. It’s during the matches. The players are committed. Things are going to gel and we are going to play better and things are going to improve because this is what we realise. Our reaction to our problems is hard work, it’s helping each other. It’s how I work, with everybody involved. This is the right path for us.”

It’s good that Nuno has tried to stay optimistic throughout the whole situation. However, results will need to start coming in again if Tottenham want to have a better season than the last. These are two games they cannot afford to lose and the fans will be hoping Nuno can elicit a reaction from the team.
