Transfer News: Barcelona enter the race for Tottenham target Franck Kessie
According to transfer news from Mundo Deportivo (h/t ESPN), Barcelona have entered the race for Tottenham Hotspur target Franck Kessie. Apparently, the 24-year-old is now being courted by a host of clubs such as Spurs, Barca, PSG, Real Madrid and Juventus.
The 24-year-old Franck Kessie is making waves in Europe for AC Milan. He has established himself as one of the best midfielders in Serie A and was a huge reason for Milan reaching the second spot in the Italian top-flight last season. His contributions were throughout the pitch as he dished out all-round displays.
Kessie’s contract situation makes him an attractive prospect. He has entered the final year of his current deal which means he will be a free agent next summer. Milan are trying their best to keep their prized asset but with Europe’s top clubs now lining up for his signature, it might be a far more difficult proposition.
Spurs have held an interest in the midfielder for a while now. However, they have been joined by Barcelona who want to get their hands on the Ivorian. Barca and PSG are understood to be the primary contenders for Kessie. Other clubs such as Real Madrid and Juventus are also said to be in the race to sign him.
