Gary Neville thinks Harry Kane isn’t happy at Tottenham Hotspur after eventful summer
Speaking on Sky Sports (h/t football.london), Manchester United legend Gary Neville claimed that Harry Kane isn’t happy at Tottenham Hotspur and that it could be because of the ‘situation’ in the summer.
The England international was linked with a move away from N17 for the majority of the recent transfer window. As it turned out, the 28-year-old is still at the club and leading the line for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
But he is yet to hit the ground running in the Premier League. While he sat out against Manchester City in Spurs’ opening day victory this season, he has played 5 league games since then without getting on the scoresheet.
Being last year’s Golden Boot and Playmaker Award winner, Kane’s lack of tangible contribution in a Spurs shirt will obviously raise questions after the eventful summer he had. And according to Neville, his lack of form could be because he is still not over the whole transfer saga.
Kane feeling a transfer hangover?
“He just doesn’t look happy…. Harry doesn’t look himself in terms of his body language, he doesn’t look happy, he looks like he’s carrying the situation from the summer and he still could’ve had two or three goals and a penalty.”
Kane’s form is starting to affect the club as well, as the Lilywhites have lost three games in a row including an embarrassing defeat to Arsenal in the North London derby. Kane’s ability is never up for debate.
Time and again he has proven himself to be a potent goalscorer and it is just a matter of time before he registers himself in the Premier League this season.

But it is natural for any Spurs fan to wonder, just like Neville did, if this run of form is at least partly related to his transfer hangover from the summer.
