Tottenham Hotspur star Hugo Lloris believes it is ‘normal’ for Harry Kane to have a slow start to the season
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports (h/t football.london), Hugo Lloris has claimed that he is not worried about Harry Kane as he believes that the striker will eventually come good for Tottenham Hotspur.
The star centre-forward has been the main source for Spurs’ goals in the last half a decade as he has led the line brilliantly. The 28-year-old took his performances to a new level last season as he won the Premier League Golden Boot with 23 league goals.
However, he has not endured a great start this season as he scored his first league goal last weekend. The Englishman suffered a tough summer as he lost the final of the Euros with England and also failed to secure a move to Manchester City after being strongly linked with them.
Club captain Hugo Lloris has now revealed that is normal for Kane to have a slow start to the season after the summer he had. The French goalkeeper told Sky Sports (h/t football.london):
“He [Harry Kane] went through different emotions last summer, and after big disappointment like the final that England lost, it’s normal that we need time to recover. You feel that you don’t get rewarded because at the end of the day, only the win matters.”
“I am not worried for Harry as he is at the perfect age, the perfect moment of his career.”

Regardless, if the North London outfit do hope to play Champions League football next season and go deep into a Cup competition, Kane will need to start scoring on a consistent basis soon.
