Tottenham Hotspur boss Nuno Espirito Santo gives his thoughts on the Manchester United situation ahead of the Premier League clash this weekend
Speaking in the pre-match press conference (h/t Eurosport), Tottenham Hotspur manager, Nuno Espirito Santo has expressed his views on the Manchester United situation ahead of their clash in the Premier League this weekend.
Tottenham Hotspur will be hosting the Red Devils at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow in a match that could determine the fate of both managers. A win could see both teams challenge for the top four positions and put behind their respective losses from last weekend.
Nuno feels that his team should be wary of Man United following their humbling at the hands of Liverpool. He also adds that United would be a tough challenge regardless of what happened in the last fixture. After all, it is harder to face a cornered animal.
“Man United is a fantastic team that we have to face tomorrow, and that is what we are concerned about, is the match of tomorrow. Man Utd is a fantastic team of football with very good players.”
Santo has claimed that their squad is full of quality players which ensures that they will have a hard game at hand. He also commented about the circumstances surrounding Man Utd as they travel to face Spurs.
“That shows that the competition is very tough, all the teams are very good. There is no manager in this world that is not under pressure, that is part of our job. “
The Spurs boss could in a way put himself in his United compatriot’s shoes given his condition at the club. However, no quarter should be given on the pitch and it promises to be a proper battle.
