Tottenham Hotspur loanee Cameron Carter-Vickers sends a message to Celtic fans following dropped points

According to the Daily Record, Tottenham Hotspur loanee Cameron Carter-Vickers has sent a message to Celtic fans after a poor showing by the Scottish giants at the weekend.

The Hoops failed to find a way past minnows Livingston, leaving them with just a point to show for their efforts. This draw puts them in the second spot in the Scottish Premier League, four points off Rangers at the summit.

Carter-Vickers has urged Celtic fans to keep the faith in the side with the season still young. There is much to play for and there is little to be gained by pointing fingers at each other.

“It’s only the end of October and leagues aren’t won at this time of the season.”

The 23-year-old has been at Spurs since 2009 and rose through the ranks at the Lane. He has made just five appearances for the first team in all competitions since making his debut in 2016. Primarily a centre-back, he is also capable of playing anywhere along the backline.

The on-loan Spurs defender has been a big hit since his arrival on the last day of the transfer window. Celtic have overcome a difficult start and now look more in their element. With them having to play second fiddle to the Ibrox giants, much is left to be done at Celtic Park.

Carter-Vickers admits he is feeling good in Scotland. The 23-year-old is enjoying regular playtime and revealed he is enjoying his time out on loan. While it will be good enough for him to return to Spurs as a first-teamer remains to be seen.

“I’m feeling good, I’m enjoying it here. It’s all about keep on improving.”
