Tottenham Hotspur target Dusan Vlahovic to stay at ACF Fiorentina in January amidst Arsenal interest
According to La Nazione (h/t Metro), Dusan Vlahovic has decided to stay at ACF Fiorentina till the end of the 2021-22 season amidst interest from North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
The 21-year-old is one of the most prolific strikers in the top five leagues currently and has gathered interest from across Europe as a result. He has scored ten goals while assisting once from 13 appearances across all competitions this season.
Tottenham and the Gunners are battling it out for the services of the Serbian as they look to return to their glory days. Earlier, it was said that Arsenal were leading the race, having contacted the Seria A club for the forward.
However, it is said that the striker has no interest in leaving the Italian club in the winter transfer window. He has also made up his mind of assessing his future options at the end of the current term.
Fiorentina is also suggested to be not interested in selling their prized asset mid-season as they believe more teams will be available in the summer. They want to maximise the chance of earning a massive sum due to high interest for the player.
But, it also states that they could negotiate in the next transfer window should a bid higher than £51.1m be made for the Serbian international. Mikel Arteta’s side could be in advantage as they were ready to shell out £68million for the Fiorentina striker.
