Tottenham Hotspur set to beat Arsenal and Juventus to sign Fiorentina ace Dusan Vlahovic
According to Corriere dello Sport (h/t The Express), Tottenham Hotspur are set to break the bank to beat Juventus, Arsenal, and Manchester City to the signing of Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic.
The 21-year-old has been in brilliant form for the Serie A club since signing from Partizan Belgrade. Last season, the youngster scored 21 league goals, making up 45% of the club’s goals in Serie A.
His importance to the team is understandably huge, but they can only hold on to him for so long. The striker shall enter the final year of his contract next summer and has refused to sign a new deal. Fiorentina might, thus, be interested in cashing in on him while they still can.
Juventus are keen on a transfer for the centre-forward, but there are some complications to this deal. The Turin club have not managed to raise sufficient funds for a potential move and Fiorentina are also not eager on letting their star man join their rivals.
This has led to Arsenal and Tottenham becoming frontrunners for his signature. However, Spurs are thought to be the favourites due to their recent appointments.
Antonio Conte was hired by Daniel Levy this month to take over from Nuno Espirito Santo. Fabio Paratici was also appointed as the director of football at the start of the season. The Italian duo plied their trade in Serie A for a long-time and could be key in orchestrating this move.

Moreover, they are ready to break their transfer record and sign the striker for £68million, which is thought to be the price Fiorentina would let go of their prized asset. Harry Kane could use some competition up front, and Spurs might need some spice in their frontline.
Vlahovic stands capable of doing both and Spurs would be completing a clever coup if they get this deal over the line.
