Arsenal have joined the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Franck Kessie
According to the Daily Mirror (h/t The Sun), Arsenal have entered the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur transfer target and AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been linked with the Lilywhites who may now have to fight off the Gunners for his services. It is believed that Manchester United are also trying to secure the services of the upcoming footballer.
The Ivorian international has been an instrumental part of Milan’s midfield in the last few seasons. The former Atalanta BC midfielder has made 196 appearances for the Rossoneri across all competitions till now during which time he has scored 32 goals and provided 15 assists.
The 24-year-old Ivorian midfielder could be a great addition to N-17 and help bring a new dynamic presence to the team. He could also help bolster competition and aid Antonio Conte to rotate his squad in a more efficient manner.
The Italian manager prefers to play with a three-man defence which steers the system into a more attack-minded approach. At the same time, this style of play demands a lot from the players.
The acquisition of a young exciting prospect could help the Lilwyhites compete at a higher level and intensity in different competitions. The Ivorian international’s current contract with AC Milan will expire next summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Conte would be looking to target the midfielder and striker position in the coming January transfer window and this could be their chance to land one of the most wanted midfielders in Serie A at the moment.
The midfielder could be there for the taking but it certainly won’t be easy with a host of other PL clubs also vying for his services. Fabio Paratici has been adept at working his magic when it comes to luring players from Serie A to the North London club with Cristian Romero being a prime example.
