Team News: Antonio Conte gives the latest updates on Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Liverpool clash
Tottenham Hotspur will face Liverpool this Sunday in Premier League, and Antonio Conte has given the latest updates on the team news ahead of the clash. Spurs are in seventh in the league with three matches in hand compared to the Reds, whereas the latter is in second place and are one of the favourites to win the title.
The Tottenham boss revealed that Giovani Lo Celso has fully recovered, while Sergio Reguilon is in contention to train on Saturday. He added that the Covid cases have fallen to just two in number, and those players would be available in two to three days.
Speaking to the club’s media (h/t Tottenham Hotspur official website), Conte gave a rundown on the situation of the virus at the clubs and how it has affected the players. He added that close attention is given to such cases due to the side effects after recovery.
“It’s good news because almost all the players are back in training, and in the next one, two days, we’ll have the squad totally negative, also the staff, and this is very important. When you have COVID and you are 10 days without training, with symptoms, then when you come back in training, you have to pay attention. I have professional staff and we are trying to find the best solutions.”
Some Good News Finally!
We have constantly been plagued by one issue after the other, and the return of the injured layers would be a big boost to add to the squad during the Covid situation. The fans would be delighted to know that the cases have got reduced to just two in total, which fills us with positivity.
We must maintain the current number until they are recovered and try to prevent further cases from arising in the days to come. Once full recovery is achieved, and there are no cases, we must not let up while ensuring that there would not be any possibility of further outbreaks moving forward.
Reguilon has been one of the best performers under Conte, and if he could feature against Jurgen Klopp’s team, it would be a massive boost for us. Lo Celso will finally have the opportunity to get some chances after missing several matches due to the injury.

We are not just facing a title favourite, but also battle what can be argued a lack of match fitness of late. We would need to regain fitness and match sharpness as quick as possible, and having the team close to being full would alleviate a lot of pressure from the players who have not fully recovered.
