Bayern Munich monitor Juventus forward Dejan Kulusevski amidst Tottenham Hotspur interest
According to the Italian publication La Gazzetta Dello Sport (h/t The Express), Bayern Munich are vying to secure the services of the Juventus forward Dejan Kulusevski amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal. He has failed to get into the starting lineup consistently since moving to Turin in 2020.
Juve are open to selling him in the January transfer window if their valuation of £29.4million is met by any of the interested parties. Tottenham are in the lead but would face hefty competition from the Gunners and the Bavarian club.
Fabio Paratici is keen on bringing the Swedish international to N17 as he had negotiated the latter’s transfer during his time with the Bianconeri. The North London rivals have kept their eye on him since his days at Atalanta, whereas Bayern have watched him from the shadows.
Could Spurs sign Kulusevski?
The interest from the Bundesliga club would pose a threat even though we are in the pole position for the Juve attacker’s services. Looking at it from a sporting perspective, Bayern are better than both English clubs and are one of the favorites to win the Champions League as well.
However, Tottenham are also on the rise and could potentially be among the top teams in the coming years. Despite lagging behind Bayern, we do have our own perks to offer. What favours us is the limited depth in the attacking areas, which could provide him more minutes compared to what he is earning in Italy.
The 2022 Qatar World Cup is a personal objective for all internationals who want to contribute and help their respective countries in the prestigious competition. As a result, the Serie A forward would have that goal in his mind and would be assessing what’s best for him to make the national team squad.
The Swedish attacker’s versatility is something that could be of great value to us, as he can even play in midfield if the situation asks demands it. While he has not been sensational at his current club, he did show great promise at his previous clubs.

One thing to note is how the Italian club has been in steady decline under Andrea Pirlo and Massimiliano Allegri, which could have played a part in his displays. Others in the squad also took a similar hit in their performances which further validates that opinion.
Since the winter transfer window is just ahead of us, there could be closure regarding the Bianconeri star if the three clubs are actively looking to sign him next month. Only time will tell what lies in store for him and whether we would be the one to sign him.
