Tottenham Hotspur eyeing a player plus cash deal for Dejan Kulusevski
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport via Sport Witness (h/t Football.London), Tottenham Hotspur are still pushing to sign Juventus star Dejan Kulusevski and could include a player as a sweetener to convince the Old Lady.
Dejan Kulusevski has experienced a drop in performance in the current season. The 21-year-old has only managed one goal and three assists in 22 appearances across all competitions. The Swedish right-winger has fallen from the pecking order following the inconsistent display and is struggling to find his best form.
Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with Kulusevski in recent times. However, it seems there was a disagreement between Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici over whom to pursue from Juventus as Weston McKennie is also on the radar of the North London team.
Currently, it is believed that Spurs are still ‘insisting’ on bringing Kulusevski and could include a player to convince Juventus to do business. Giovanni Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele and Tophet Tanganga are closing to an exit, and Tottenham could add one of them into the mix.
Conte currently doesn’t have many options in the right-winger position. Lucas Moura has been the first choice in recent weeks and the Brazilian has to his credit performed more often than not. At 29-years of age, the Spurs forward is not getting any younger and having a younger backup will only aid Spurs in the long term.
Jack Clarke is available but there is much work to be done before he is deemed a reliable option. The youngster has thus far failed to show off any improvements to his admittedly excellent potential.

Therefore, the arrival of Kulusevski would provide a Conte with a solid option off the bench and in the rotation when needed. The Swedish star is young and has a lot of experience playing in the Italian first division. Conte knows the Serie A setting well and could help the 21-year-old rediscover his best form at the Lane.
