Tottenham Hotspur to battle multiple Premier League clubs for Hull City starlet Keane Lewis-Potter

According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are vying for the signature of Hull City starlet Keane Lewis-Potter alongside several other Premier League clubs. The youngster has earned a name for himself over the past two years thanks to a series of excellent performances.

Next summer, Lewis-Potter will enter the final year of his contract at the KCOM Stadium. This will hand other clubs the initiative when it comes to negotiations, and Hull are preparing to deal with a host of offers for him this month and at the end of this season.

Brentford have followed the 20-year-old’s progress for years and provide the biggest threat to Spurs’ hopes of landing him. The Championship club rejected an £8million bid from the Bees last summer. However, Thomas Frank’s side remains undaunted and keen on winning the race for the player’s signature.

A plethora of other top-flight sides are also keeping tabs on Lewis-Potter. Southampton, Leicester City and West Ham United are also in the fray as they try to get their hands on the talented youngster.

Who is Keane Lewis-Potter?

Primarily a left-winger, the Championship star can also play as a striker and right-winger. A versatile player, he can also drop deeper and serve as a left or right midfielder when needed.

The Englishman has made 102 appearances at the KCOM Stadium, scored 23 goals, and made 12 assists. He played a key role in the Tigers’ promotion to the Championship last season.

Despite Hull struggling to make an impact in the second tier this season, Lewis-Potter has continued to impress. With six goals and four assists in 28 appearances so far, he has been a rare bright spot in what has been a disappointing season for the Tigers. This season, he is Hull’s top scorer and the second-highest assist getter to boot.

Tottenham lack attacking depth and it was emphasised by the lack of options when Antonio Conte’s side faced off against Morecambe in the FA Cup third round. Dele Alli and Bryan Gil were deployed up front as the club struggled to replace Harry Kane and Son Heung-min in the first XI.

The English winger had proven that he could match up to the big guns when he faced off against Everton in the FA Cup earlier this season. Given his performances of late, one could argue that the 20-year-old is ready to take the next step in his career.

Waiting until the summer to make our move would give us an advantage since Lewis-Potter will be in the final year of his contract. Only time will tell Fabio Paratici’s decision regarding this matter and whether he will trump the competition for the youngster’s signature.
