Real Madrid show interest in Tottenham Hotspur target Franck Kessie as PSG lead transfer race
According to the Spanish publication AS (h/t ESPN), Real Madrid have expressed their interest in Tottenham Hotspur target Franck Kessie as PSG lead the transfer race to sign him. He continues to be a regular for AC Milan despite uncertainty surrounding the air regarding his future at the club.
The Ivorian will become a free agent at the end of this season, which means that he could legally sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs. Real are prepared to officially register their interest in signing him ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Madrid based club are in line to cool down interest in Antonio Rudiger due to high salary demands prompting them to shift their attention to the 25-year-old. Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring the situation in an attempt to get him ahead of others. The latter is leading the race dealing more blows to Antonio Conte and his side.
Fight back!
The first thing that is probably going through most of our minds is whether we will see a repeat of what happened in the January transfer window. We lost out on Adama Traore and Luis Diaz to Barcelona and Liverpool, respectively, which was a massive blow in our efforts to boost the squad.
Hence we cannot afford to lose the transfer race involving other major targets. The Ivorian falls into that category as well and Fabio Paratici has to ensure that we do not see a repeat of what had happened last month.
The French club is currently in pole position while the entry of Los Blancos could further complicate things for us. As things stand, both clubs are in a better position than us. Securing a top-four finish could however give us a fighting chance.

So it would be best if the North London side would put this matter to bed before it gets too late. Getting the real over the one before other clubs get involved would be the prudent thing to do.
As such, Paratici and co must reach common ground over a pre-contract agreement at the earliest. That would eradicate the need to engage in confrontation at the end of the season when things could get more challenging for us. Let’s wait and see how this situation will pan out.
