Tottenham Hotspur star Bryan Gil could extend his Valencia loan by another year

According to Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil could extend his loan with Valencia by another year with a final stance that could be known by the next week. He has done well at Mestalla after he joined them temporarily in the January transfer window.

The La Liga side have offered Gil the chance to stay with them for another year. They believe next week could be a crucial point in their interest to keep him past this season. His loan period will expire next summer, and they also do not have any option to purchase him permanently.

Tottenham still consider the Spaniard as a future superstar in the making despite his unimpressive spell at N17. However, he is not in Antonio Conte’s plans just yet, which could make them accept this approach from the Spanish club. That is if the forward also agrees with the proposal.

Should Spurs approve the offer?

The 21-year-old has done well back in La Liga since he left Spurs in the winter transfer window. Perhaps, more time in the Spanish top-flight could do him wonders as he has showcased his quality with Jose Bordalas’ side. Hence, we should look to accept their offer if one arrives our way.

Moreover, Los Murcielago believes that the Tottenham loanee would be tempted by their approach since they have helped him to resume his development. That is further emphasised by the fact that he has earned his spot back in the Spanish national team. Luis Enrique has recently recalled him to the friendlies against Albania and Iceland next week.

We have enough options in our ranks at this point, looking at how Son Heung-Min and Steven Bergwijn can play on the left wing. Even Ryan Sessegnon can deputise in that position if matters come to worse in the future. Not to mention, Dejan Kulusevski’s versatility also offers us protection in that regard.

Conte is also eager to bring in another forward addition at the end of this campaign. As such, there are more than enough reasons why we should accept the approach from Valencia. Then again, it is up to Gil as well to decide over his future in the next term.

However, we are hopeful that the Spurs attacker would take a reasonable stance to help with his growth. Let’s wait and see how this situation pans out in the next week, which is the timeframe mentioned in this update.
