Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspur target Mamadou Coulibaly intrigued by AC Milan offer
According to the Spanish news outlet Sport (h/t Manchester Evening News), Tottenham Hotspur have received a transfer blow as their summer target Mamadou Coulibaly is intrigued by the offer proposed by AC Milan. The AS Monaco starlet is one of the rising superstars in Europe and is in line to depart his club at the end of this season.
Coulibaly is in the final year of his current contract with Monaco, which has attracted a lot of attention from elsewhere. It seems that he is open to entertaining offers from other clubs as he is claimed to be “fascinated” by the latest proposal from Milan. This update would be concerning to Tottenham, who are interested in securing his services.
The 17-year-old is a transfer target for some of the major European clubs like Barcelona, Manchester City and Juventus, making life more difficult for Spurs and their pursuit to sign him. That being said, it seems that the Rossoneri are the favourites at this moment due to the player’s stance.
Blow for Spurs?
Potentially losing out on one of the talented midfielders is always difficult to take it in, which will be the case here as well. It does not bode well for us considering the Frenchman’s current stance on the contract offer he has received from the Milan based club.
It seems that the Serie A club is going on the offensive as they have already explained the project they are building to the Ligue 1 starlet’s family. We cannot sit idly by any longer if there are plans to bring him to N17 moving forward.
We should retaliate at the earliest and make our case as soon as possible. After all, signing a talented prospect like the Monaco midfielder on a free transfer is simply too great of an opportunity to pass upon. At the same time, we must be wary of the other competitors as well since they would probably be thinking the same way.
