Tottenham Hotspur fans react as Harry Kane wins Premier League Player of the Month award for March
According to the club’s official Twitter handle, Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has won the Premier League Player of the Month award for March. He has been terrific for his side last month, which has helped them to challenge for the top four places in the Premier League table.
Kane had scored four goals and assisted his teammates twice in four PL games last month, helping Tottenham to win three games out of them. That is certainly a great return and a sharp contrast to his form at the start of this campaign. This latest trophy has seen him tie the record for the most POTM awards won in the league’s history so far.
The Englishman will now join Sergio Aguero for the record as both of them have won seven awards in total right now. Spurs will be hoping that their superstar will continue this form in the remainder of this season in their pursuit to achieve qualification in the next term’s Champions League.
Deserved!
The 28-year-old started with a double against Everton last month that saw Antonio Conte’s side triumph over Everton by a 5-0 scoreline. He followed that impressive display with another goal against Manchester United, but unfortunately, he was on the losing side, having lost 3-2 at Old Trafford.
Despite that defeat, the POTM winner followed it up with another goal against Brighton and Hove Albion as the North Londoners won 2-0. Finally, he topped it off with two assists against West Ham United in an impressive 3-1 victory, which firmly put them in contention to compete for the top four places in the league table.
It is not just the goals and assists, but the PL superstar’s overall performances have also been mindblowing and entertaining last month. Let’s hope that he continues these displays moving forward, as it would be essential in ensuring that we have a shot at ending the campaign with a bang.
