Tottenham Hotspur on red alert as Everton star Richarlison makes future admission
Everton star Richarlison has revealed that he is contemplating his future options at this moment amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The latter would be delighted to hear this update as the striker is now open to leaving his current club in the summer transfer window.
Tottenham have already expressed their interest in signing the Brazil international ahead of the next season. They are also joined by Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid in this transfer race at this moment. Paris Saint-Germain were in the mix, but they have tracked back following Kylian Mbappe’s renewal.
Speaking in an interview with Globo Esporte (h/t Daily Mail Online), the 25-year-old confirmed that he has already revealed his intentions to the management and Frank Lampard regarding his future. Richarlison also said that a clear stance would be known in June, but he followed it by issuing a small hint at leaving Goodison Park.
“I’ve already made it clear to the board. I’ve already talked to Lampard too, with my agents and they know what I want. Let’s wait for June. Now I can’t talk, because when we talk about leaving a club I’m kind of like this, because of the history I have at Everton, the affection that the fans have for me. When we talk about leaving I’m a little speechless.”
Do Spurs need Richarlison?
Richarlison could end up playing a major role in our team, considering how we lack a backup option for Harry Kane in the squad. Spurs have struggled to find a reliable second fiddle to Kane for a long time as the likes of Fernando Llorente, Carlos Vinicius and Vincent Janssen have come and gone with little success.
Richarlison, however, could be a solid choice indeed as he has played a key part in ensuring that the Toffees remained in the Premier League. His performances for his country even indicate how he can take it up a notch in a stable environment surrounded by quality players
The North Londoners must find a backup for Kane this summer itself and fans would not want the club to go another campaign without a solution to this issue. And since Richarlison is open to assessing his future options, we should discuss the matter with him and convince him to move to N17.
We have to wait and see how this situation will unravel when June eventually arrives. It would be best if Antonio Conte’s side contacts Richarlison so that they can prepare themselves for a potential transfer. After all, we seem to be keeping a close eye on the situation, so perhaps the boss is keen to sign the 25-year-old striker.
However, the South American has a contract until 2024, which would make life difficult for us if the Merseysiders are unwilling to sell him moving forward. Then again, they are desperate for money due to their need to back Lampard while managing their dire finances at the same time.

That could open a pathway for us, with Richarlison also stated to be interested in joining a title contender. At the same time, we also need to be careful of the competition as all of them are more than capable to challenge for silverware in the future.
