Fabrizio Romano: Chelsea linked with shock move for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane
According to popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano via his column on Caught Offside, Chelsea’s interest in Harry Kane hold little weight as of now as the Lilywhites consider the player pretty much untouchable
Whilst it seems almost impossible for Kane to leave Spurs this summer, it has emerged that Bayern Munich will be interested in a move for the English captain in the future if he fails to renew a new contract with the Lilywhites.
Chelsea are in the same boat and seem interested in Kane and could consider a move for him in the future. However, Spurs might not want to sell him to another PL club, meaning Bayern could have an advantage.
Kane has been a part of Spurs for so long. He has been in the clubs ranks since 2009 and has gone on to become one of the most popular strikers in the world and can be considered a superstar in his own right.
Despite a slow start to this season when his future was uncertain, Kane played 50 games last season for the Lilywhites, scoring 27 goals and providing 10 assists across all competitions.
He is considered a huge part of Tottenham’s plans for next season and will have a huge role to play under Antonio Conte. His link-up play with Son Heung-min, Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski could be one of the most exciting things to look forward to this summer.
The Lilywhites will be keen on securing the English international to a long-term deal to put an end to all this speculation. Kane seemed very close to leaving Spurs last season but things are looking different now.
Tottenham are building a huge project under Antonio Conte and have already made the first step towards this by qualifying for the Champions League this season. If they can continue the impressive show, then there is no reason why Kane might not stay.
