Antonio Conte waxes lyrical about Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane
Speaking in an interview as quoted by Football. London, Spurs manager Antonio Conte was full of praise for English superstar Harry Kane claiming that he sees the striker very happy.
Kane is one of the best strikers in the world. A consistent goal machine for many years now, the Lilywhites have been able to enjoy the services of the Englishman for many seasons in recent times.
The talented striker came close to leaving the club last summer with him being heavily linked with a move to Manchester City however the North London club were not willing to sell their prized asset.
This meant that Kane had a very slow start to the season, struggling to get up to speed in the absence of a proper pre-season. However, the English striker had a solid second half of the season.
The 29-year-old striker is looking motivated for the new season. Tottenham are competing for the Champions League under Antonio Conte this season and this should be a huge plus for Harry Kane.
Conte was full of praise for Harry Kane, who is set to have a huge role under the manager this season
“Harry, I see him very happy, totally involved with this project, in this process with the team and with the club. This is very important because you know very well the importance of this player for the team-mates, for the fans, for the club, for me and for my staff”
With a World cup coming up this year, the English captain will be keen on building up his form in the lead-up to the marquee event and making sure he continues his impressive goal-scoring form.
