Tottenham Hotspur unveil third kit for 2022/23 season, rapper AJ Tracey models it on TikTok
Tottenham Hotspur have finally unveiled their third kit for the 2022/23 season from Nike, and UK rapper AJ Tracey took to his TikTok to model the kit.
Spurs have a long-term kit deal with Nike that was signed under Jose Mourinho‘s reign that will see the club pocket £450million over the course of the contract. Spurs have already worn the white home kit and the navy blue away kit in the past few weeks.
And now, the club has officially unveiled the third kit for the season. The shirt features a light blue colour with dark blue zig-zag patterns and white accents.
The shorts are also of a light blue colour with white accents. The socks are yet to be released and it remains to be seen when the club will actually put this kit to use for the first time.
The club posted a number of tweets on its official Twitter account and the kit is up for sale on the club’s official website, tottenhamhotspur.com.
Kit releases are always exciting times for those associated with the club. Earlier, it wasn’t rare for teams to use the same kit designs for more than one season.
But with the realisation of the amount of money a club can rake in via kit deals and releases, it has become a common activity for teams to drop three separate kits for every season.
UK rapper AJ Tracey is perhaps one of the most famous fans of Tottenham Hotspur in the music industry. The 28-year-old posted a video on his TikTok account (h/t Daily Mail) of the jersey that bore his name and the number 7.
Spurs would hope that this kit brings them good luck. It isn’t markedly different from the 2019/20 third kit that was of a similar colour.
The Lilywhites won 4-1 against Southampton on their opening day of the campaign last weekend and now travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea on August 14.
