Antonio Conte has hinted that Tottenham Hotspur could make more signings
Tottenham Hotspur have had one of the best windows of the summer so far. Antonio Conte has added seven new players to his squad, as he hopes that he can deliver some silverware this season.
But Spurs and Conte are not done yet. Speaking to reporters as quoted in the Evening Standard, the Italian tactician hinted that more new signings could happen.
For sure if there are players that go out, then we need players to come in. The club know very well the importance for me to have a squad with a couple of players in every role.
This came after the likes of Sergio Reguilon and Harry Winks have been tipped to leave the club this summer. Both the players are not part of Conte’s plans for this season.
Spurs have added the likes of Ivan Perisic, Richarlison and Yves Bissouma, to name a few, as part of their squad this summer. They have also gotten off to a very good start, winning two games and drawing one.
But squad depth is very important, especially for a club playing in Europe too. The fixtures are very congested for the next month due to the World Cup in November. And Conte could do with all the extra legs that he can get.
The Lilywhites have been linked with players like Hakim Ziyech, Anthony Gordon and Trevoh Chalobah. They have also shown interest in Nicolo Zaniolo and Ruslan Malinovskyi. With less than a week remaining before the deadline day, it could be interesting to see if any new faces come in.
Spurs have had one of the best windows in their history this summer. Fans have long demanded that their club have a window like this, where they get in quality players with a top-class coach at the helm.
