Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min amid selective stars with early FIFA 23 rating release
Tottenham Hotspur winger Son Heung-min is one of FIFA 23’s ambassadors and some of the perks that have come with that role is having his in-game rating released a bit earlier than other players.
As posted on Electronic Art’s official Instagram account, Son has received a rating of 89 in the latest edition of the game. The post can be found on the third slide of a series of images posted here.
The other Premier League players who are also the game’s ambassadors and have had their ratings released are Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk (90), Kai Havertz of Chelsea (84), Jack Grealish of Manchester City (84), and Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic (82).
Spurs fans would be surprised considering this was the South Korea international’s rating in FIFA 22 as well. Son had a brilliant season in the Premier League where he eventually ended up sharing the Golden Boot with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
It is only deserving that he broke the 90 barrier, although there is scope within the game for later rating upgrades. FIFA 23 is yet to be released as of now and is expected to be available in stores on September 30, 2022.
Out of the six stats that are displayed on top of the card, Son looks like he has a very balanced card and could be a fun player to use in the game. With an average pace of 88, shooting of 89, passing of 82, and 86 dribbling, one can expect Son to be in high-demand once FIFA 23 Ultimate Team – the online mode of the game – goes live.
It will be interesting to see the ratings that are handed to our new signings, especially stars like Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic, and Richarlison.
