Emerson Royal has spent big money to better himself at Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal has spent £800,000 on goods and services to improve his performance, according to The Sun.
It includes buying a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, which looks like a bed and helps its user to receive more oxygen to heal quicker. He is also working with a neuroscientist to help cope with the pressure of playing for a club like Tottenham.
Royal’s father is said to have hired a scout to study the game of Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi. The former Real Madrid was very impressive during Antonio Conte’s time at Inter Milan.
The 23-year-old joined Spurs from Barcelona in the summer of 2021 for £25 million. Since his arrival, the right wing-back has been a regular player for the north London side.
He has often come under criticism from his own fans demanding a better end product in the attacking third of the pitch. But the Brazilian international cannot be criticised for his dedication on the pitch.
He has played in all the nine games this season so far in all competitions and has one assist in the Premier League to his name. He came off the bench in the last game against Leicester City when they were thrashed 6-2, but before that, he had started 18 games on the trot.
This clearly shows that the 23-year-old is a trusted player by Conte. And now that he has been putting in extra effort on his own, away from the pitch to improve his game will make the Italian coach happy.

Emerson is very likely to start the North London Derby against Arsenal this Saturday. The 23-year-old has been very good this season overall and fans will hope that he continues such form. He will likely try to get on the scoresheet and we hope he does.
