Juventus want Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte to be their new manager in 2023

Former Juventus manager Antonio Conte has done a stellar job at Tottenham Hotspur. Despite our recent hiccups, the club is still in line for a top-four finish and are top of their UEFA Champions League group.

However, there is one issue that would make Spurs fans nervous when it comes to the Italian manager’s future at N17. His current contract expires in the summer of 2023.

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Metro), Juventus want to take advantage of his stalled contract talks at Tottenham and appoint him as their new manager at the end of the season.

Conte is allegedly stalling talks of renewing his deal at Spurs to see what comes of Massimiliano Allegri’s situation at the Allianz Stadium. He has had a nightmare start to the season with the Old Lady.

Conte to Juventus?

If being eighth in the league table at this point wasn’t bad enough, Juve were eliminated from their UEFA Champions League group after a 4-3 loss against SL Benfica.

For a club of its stature, such a situation is unthinkable. However, Tottenham do have the option to extend Conte’s contract by another season, which is expected to be exercised.

After all, it is said that Spurs want to tie Conte down to a new contract. If he doesn’t agree to that, Daniel Levy has the option to extend his deal by another year.

Conte managed Juventus between 2011 and 2014 and won three Serie A titles there. It won’t be the biggest surprise if he is enticed by the chance to reunite with a club like Juve – who play in his home country.
