Tottenham Hotspur receive Dejan Kulusevski injury boost ahead of Marseille tie
Dejan Kulusevski has been absent for a long time for Tottenham Hotspur now after suffering from a thigh issue earlier this season.
After being in impressive form for us during the starting stages of the campaign – even relegating Richarlison to the bench in the first few gameweeks – Kulusevski has missed the last nine games for us across competitions due to injury.
Each week, Spurs fans hope for a positive update and to see his name mentioned in the next matchday squad that manager Antonio Conte announces. Now, they have been handed a positive sign right in front of their eyes.
According to Football.London, the Sweden international was spotted in his training kit going about his personal drills between the 18-yard box and the touchline. Later, the Spurs squad took to the field to warm up at the Vitality Stadium.
Kulusevski on his way back?
This makes it clear that Kulusevski has at least resumed training to some extent now and is on his way back to the matchday squad. At least he hasn’t been confined to being away from the pitch and is fit enough to have a jog around and some light training.
It remains to be seen if he can make the squad that takes on Olympique de Marseille in France later this week. The former Juventus winger could be the game-changer in a do-or-die encounter for both teams.
Spurs have been wise not to take risks with players returning from injuries this season, as evidenced in the case of Lucas Moura and even Deki. More could be known about Kulusevski’s condition on Monday evening during Conte’s pre-match press conference.

Hopefully, the gaffer has a positive update for us. A 3-2 win against Bournemouth this weekend would have given him and the squad a much-needed boost for the clash against OM – which we cannot afford to lose if we want to stay in the UEFA Champions League.
