Inter Milan name price tag for Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Denzel Dumfries
Tottenham Hotspur could have to shell out 50million Pounds if they want to sign Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan in the near future.
That is because Italian outlet Calciomercato (h/t Metro), who say Inter have placed that price tag on the Netherlands international. Dumfries moved to I Nerazzurri last year from PSV Eindhoven.
And within a year and a half, he has been linked with another high-profile transfer. Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, and Manchester United are among the teams that are keeping an eye on the 26-year-old full-back.
Dumfries’ defensive nous is well known and he is a solid right-back for both club and country. But he is no slouch going forward as well.
Denzel Dumfries to Spurs?
His goal and two assists in the 3-1 2022 FIFA World Cup last 16 win against the USA for Holland was a reminder of his capabilities going forward. He seems like an elite full-back that can raise our team’s level in defence.
Emerson Royal is manager Antonio Conte’s first-choice option in the right-wing-back role but he has failed to convince fans of his quality at both ends of the pitch. Matt Doherty and Djed Spence hardly get any meaningful minutes.
Conte signed Ivan Perisic on a free transfer this summer and has trusted him to man the left flank in our defence ever since. Another high-profile signing is needed on the opposite flank.

The 50million Pounds could be a smart one-time investment and Dumfries, who is in the prime years of his career, could be a revelation at N17. Chelsea arguably have Reece James as their permanent first-choice right-back but Manchester United could look to upgrade on Diogo Dalot, which is why we would need to be aware of the threat they can pose.
