Harry Kane sets unique Premier League goals record in Tottenham Hotspur’s draw vs Brentford

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane set a unique goals record when he netted against Brentford in the 2-2 Premier League Boxing Day draw at the Gtech Community Stadium, as per the official PL Twitter account.

The goal, which came via a superb header from a Clement Lenglet cross a few minutes after the hour mark, ensured that Kane had scored at least once against every single team he has faced in the Premier League.

Kane’s first goal in the league came against Sunderland in a 5-1 win back in April 2014. The number stands at 32 teams, which according to the PL Twitter account, is the most for a player to have maintained a 100% scoring record against.

It means that while other players may have scored against every team they have faced in the Premier League, none of them have done it against 32 clubs. That’s a mighty impressive number.

The Bees prevented him from scoring in the first two league games they played against Spurs with Kane in the side. Kane’s best goal-scoring record in the league is against Leicester City.

He has netted a ridiculous 18 times in the 15 league outings against the Foxes. More impressively, he is a man to rely on for the north London derbies as well, having scored 14 times in the 16 league games against Arsenal.

Next season could have three new teams in the Premier League that Kane hasn’t faced in the past. We can’t put it past him not to score against them if it does turn out to be the case.

But until then, Kane can be the sole leader of this impressive list, which shows his immense goal-scoring prowess in arguably the most competitive league in the world. He is also one goal closer (196) to Alan Shearer’s PL goals record of 260.
