Inter manager Simone Inzaghi ‘not worried’ about Tottenham Hotspur target Milan Skriniar’s future
Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi has said that he is not worried about the future of Tottenham Hotspur target Milan Skriniar.
Spurs have been interested in him since the days Jose Mourinho was the manager of the club, as per Alasdair Gold of Football.London. The 27-year-old is one of the best defenders in European football.
He has shown at Inter that he has what it takes to lead a backline of a top team. That is exactly what we need here at Spurs.
Eric Dier isn’t the world-class player Skriniar is, and Cristian Romero (24) is yet to garner the experience it takes to be a veteran leader in defence. Moreover, he is in the final six months of his contract at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.
Spurs have to chase Skriniar
It remains to be seen if he signs a renewal, but if he doesn’t, signing Skriniar on a free transfer would be a dream move for any club in world football. But Inzaghi is not yet worried about the situation.
When asked to give his verdict on the Slovakia international’s future at the club, he said via Sport Mediaset (h/t Football.London):
“Absolutely not. I’m not worried. Skriniar is in love with Inter and I have no doubts about him. At the same time, I have a strong company that is working best for all open situations.”
Davinson Sanchez and Japhet Tanganga aren’t at the required level to be a regular starter for us – not right now, at least. Joe Rodon is on loan at Stade Rennais and it seems like a long road for him if he wants to make it in our starting XI.

Top teams cannot ignore Skriniar’s situation. Tottenham should expect competition and have to be prepared to enter into talks with the player if renewal talks fall through. We just can’t let this one pass.
