Tottenham keeping tabs on Brentford goalie David Raya as Hugo Lloris replacement
According to The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on talented Spanish goalie David Raya from Brentford as a replacement for Hugo Lloris.
Lloris is coming under a lot of criticism for his performances in a Tottenham shirt recently. He is 36 years old and is not getting any younger. The Frenchman has always had a mistake in him and it’s only becoming even more glaring of late.
The Tottenham captain has been a great servant for the club. Some of his performances have been very memorable in a Spurs shirt. As it happens with all players though, there is a feeling that his time at the top is done.

With no obvious replacement in the squad, the Lilywhites will have to enter the market for a replacement. Identifying the right player is very important considering how important the goalkeeping position is.
It is now being claimed that Spurs have identified David Raya as a potential replacement for the Frenchman. The Spaniard has had good moments in a Brentford shirt and has a lot of potential.
Raya even travelled with the Spain squad to Qatar in the World Cup with Luis Enrique picking him ahead of the likes of David de Gea and Kepa Arrizabalaga. It showed how much the former Barcelona manager rated the Brentford man.
Anyone who sees Brentford play regularly in the Premier League will know how crucial Raya has been to the way they play. He is one of the first names on the team sheet for Thomas Frank and more often than not, the Spaniard delivers.
Raya is exceptional on the ball. He is very good with his distribution and his long-passing is very accurate. In many ways, he reminds one of Manchester City goalie Ederson in the way he plays.
