Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United target Nicolo Zaniolo offered to PSG
Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United transfer target Nicolo Zaniolo has apparently been offered to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
This is according to French outlet Footmercato, who claim that this indicates that Roma are eager to get the Italy international off their books. He is in the final 18 months of his contract at the club (Transfermarkt).
January could, thus, be their best option if they want to attain the maximum transfer fee possible for Zaniolo – granted he doesn’t renew his deal in Rome. PSG would surely be eager to strengthen down the flanks.
They have absolutely no depth in that area. Neymar Jr., Kylian Mbappe, and Lionel Messi are undisputed starters in manager Christophe Galtier’s XI. But they don’t have a natural winger to play in their place.
PSG could be a problem for Spurs
He has, at times, resorted to playing Hugo Ekitike and Mbappe up front in a strike partnership due to a complete lack of options down the flank. This has been the case, especially after Spain international Pablo Sarabia’s January move to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Being at PSG means challenging for domestic trophies every season. They have a habit of winning domestic trophies in the past decade or so and are regularly playing in the UEFA Champions League.
Moreover, a move to the Parc des Princes gives Zaniolo a chance to play with some of the very best players in world football. Spurs must, hence, propose an attractive offer to Zaniolo so that he can be swayed into moving here.
He could, however, have to struggle for playing time. There is no way to guarantee that he will start over Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski, Son Heung-min, or Harry Kane on a regular basis. Hopefully, we have a plan in place to sign him.
