Jamie O’Hara says Tottenham made a mistake not trying to sign Christian Eriksen
Former Tottenham player Jamie O’Hara recently spoke with Sky Sports, and he claimed that Tottenham made a huge mistake by not trying to sign Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen in the summer from Brentford.
According to O Hara, Eriksen was one of the most sought-after players in the summer transfer window and it was a missed opportunity for Tottenham to bring him back to the club. After all, he was available on a free transfer.
Eriksen was a key player for Tottenham during his time at the club and played a crucial role in their success. He was a creative force in the middle of the park, something that they have lacked ever since.
However, despite his success at Tottenham, Eriksen eventually left the club to join Inter Milan. This was a huge blow to Tottenham, who lost one of their most important players. Since then, a lot has happened in the Dane’s career.
Eriksen made a successful return to football with Brentford last season after suffering a cardiac arrest during the Euros. Many people did not expect him to be playing at the top level again but Eriksen had other plans.
Speaking about the situation, the former Tottenham footballer was gutted that Spurs did not attempt to sign him at all.
“Eriksen has been fantastic for them. He’s been a good signing. I would have loved to have seen him back at Spurs. But you know he’s gone there and been really good”
Since joining Manchester United, Eriksen has been sensational for Manchester United. He has made them not feel the absence of Paul Pogba one bit and has even outperformed the Frenchman in his time here.
Right now though, the former Tottenham man is injured. It is a huge blow to Erik ten Hag and the Red Devils who have been playing some amazing football in recent times. They will be hoping the Dane can come back soon.

It is highly unlikely that Eriksen will have a second stint at Tottenham after this. The previous summer was the likeliest possibility and it did not happen. Now, the ship has sailed.
