Alasdair Gold reveals Tottenham Hotspur interest in James Maddison and Marc Guehi
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for English duo James Maddison and Marc Guehi, as the club looks to bolster its squad for the upcoming season, according to popular Football. London journalist Alasdair Gold.
Maddison, who currently plays for Leicester City, has been a standout performer for the Foxes, making a name for himself with his creative and technical ability. With only a year left on his contract, the Spurs may look to bring him in as part of their summer transfer plans.
Marc Guehi, on the other hand, is a highly-rated young defender who currently plays for Crystal Palace. The young centre-back has impressed this season with his versatility and ability to adapt to different positions on the field.
If Palace were to decide to sell, there would be plenty of competition for his signature, with Tottenham being one of the clubs in the running. Guehi is the kind of player who would suit Antonio Conte’s system well.
Spurs are in need of addressing their defensive problems, and the addition of Guehi could be a wise move for the club. However, Tottenham might find it easier to sign Maddison than the 22-year-old.

“I’d be surprised if Spurs aren’t one of those looking at James Maddison in the summer, especially if he still has only a year left on his contract at that point”
“Tottenham definitely like Marc Guehi, and like Maddison. I’d expect there will be plenty of competition for his signature if Palace decide to sell.”
Maddison is known for his creativity and technical ability, which would make him a valuable addition to the Tottenham squad. If he were to make the move, he could bring a new dimension to the Spurs attacking play.
In terms of home-grown players, Spurs are currently one player short of the maximum eight in their European squad. With Djed Spence currently on loan at Rennes, the club will look to address this in the summer.
