Inter Milan consider selling Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United target Alessandro Bastoni
Inter Milan ‘will consider’ selling Alessandro Bastoni, who is on the radar of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, if a new deal isn’t signed.
According to Italian outlet Tuttosport (h/t Daily Mail), Inter are yet to reach an agreement with the Italy international over a new deal. He could leave as a free agent in the summer of 2024.
I Nerazzurri are unable to agree to Bastoni’s wage demands and that could be a big factor in deciding the player’s future at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.
Spurs could really use a world-class defender like Bastoni. The left-footed centre-back can slot in Ben Davies’ position in the backline and increase the quality of our team.
Bastoni to Spurs?
Bastoni is a very good player and we can’t expect Inter to sell him for peanuts this summer if they do make that decision. However, there has to be a time when we properly spend on a world-class signing.
We went out and signed Pedro Porro from Sporting CP last month. That could be a problem solved for us down the right-wing back.
We have to make a similar commitment when it comes to bringing in a new centre-back that solves our selection headache for several years. There won’t be many better in the market than Bastoni (23) in his age bracket.

Moreover, Inter could lose Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar on free transfers this summer. Hence, we can’t rule out the Serie A giants trying to keep Bastoni for longer if they end up losing their veteran duo.
