Chelsea tipped to sign Tottenham managerial target Julian Nagelsmann
Speaking on The House of Champions Podcast as quoted by Football. London, Nigel Reo-Coker and Fabrizio Romano have tipped Chelsea to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur managerial target Julien Nagelsmann.
Bayern Munich’s recent announcement of the sacking of Julian Nagelsmann has set the rumour mill in motion regarding his next destination. Tottenham fans have been dreaming of having Nagelsmann at the helm of their club for some time now, and the news of his availability has only fuelled their hopes.
Antonio Conte’s time at Tottenham slowly yet surely seems to be coming to an end. It’ll be a huge surprise to see the manager stay for much longer. In fact, it is a huge surprise to see him still have the job.
Under Conte, Tottenham have improved in certain aspects. However, the club have been as inconsistent as it can get with excellent performances often followed by unbelievably appalling ones.
Speaking on The House of Champions Podcast, former Premier League player Nigel Reo-Coker and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano discussed Nagelsmann’s future. The two agreed that the German coach would not have any trouble finding a new job, given his impressive track record and the interest he is sure to generate
Here is what the duo had to say about Chelsea’s pursuit of the former RB Leipzig manager with Tottenham also interested:
“I think it won’t be a problem for him to find another job, he’s very young, his numbers speak for him, he did an excellent job at Bayern and his future will be at an important club”
“It’s hard to say at the moment but I can predict many Tottenham fans dreaming of Nagelsmann. I wouldn’t be surprised if Chelsea thrown their name in the hat later down the line”
Chelsea have Graham Potter at the helm. The former Brighton manager has not really had a good time at the Bridge but, to be honest with him, things seem to be changing in the last few weeks.
Potter finally looks like he is able to get across his ideas to his team. Chelsea have started scoring more goals in recent weeks. Conceding has not really been an issue for them this campaign.
