Cristian Stellini reveals Richarlison “feels better” ahead of Tottenham Hotspur vs Bournemouth
Tottenham Hotspur interim manager Cristian Stellini has revealed that Richarlison is “feeling better” after his injury ahead of the match against Bournemouth.
Spurs will welcome the Cherries on Saturday (15 April) in the Premier League. At the moment, the Lilywhites are in the race to get a top-four berth. The Brazil international has not featured in the North London side’s last two fixtures.
However, speaking to the media via the club’s official website, Stellini believes the 25-year-old has done well in training and, along with Arnaut Danjuma, is ready to have some minutes for the Lilywhites.
“Richarlison has worked well this week, he’s had one week more to feel better. Last week he was on the bench but only with one training session and it was a long period without him so we didn’t want to take risks with him.
“Now he feels better but also we have Danjuma ready to play, so we can use Richarlison and Arnaut as well.”
Richarlison signed for Tottenham in the summer of 2022 from Everton. However, the Brazil international is yet to find consistency in regard to his goal-scoring and opportunities on the pitch at the North London side.
At the Goodison Park side, the 25-year-old was the talisman. The forward was a pivotal player for the Toffees for several years and even helped them survive the drop in the previous campaign.
However, Richarlison has found it hard to find his feet at Spurs. The striker has made 27 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
But the Brazilian is yet to find the back of the net for the Lilywhites in the English top flight. Although the forward’s effort and work rate when he features cannot be faulted.
Also, there is a lot of competition for a place in Tottenham’s attack. We have the likes of Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski at our disposal.

Therefore, a lack of regular minutes has not helped Richarlison’s cause at the North London side. Hopefully, the 25-year-old is able to get the monkey off his back and score his first PL goal for Spurs versus Bournemouth.
