Ivan Perisic wants Inter Milan return after just one year at Tottenham Hotspur
Ivan Perisic joined Tottenham Hotspur from Inter Milan on a free transfer last summer and has since been a revelation.
Most knew about the 34-year-old’s quality but not everyone expected him to seamlessly fit into a top Premier League side. He is truly one of our most consistent players and his world-class ability shows on the pitch.
But he could be done with the Spurs project just a year after joining them. According to Italian outlet Tuttosport (h/t Daily Mail), his chances of leaving the club have increased after Antonio Conte’s departure in March.
He could leave as a free agent next season as a free agent but if we sell him this summer, we could actually make a little profit on him. He is in his mid-30s and is earning £170,000-a-week.
Perisic to Inter?
That isn’t peanuts. It can be spent on a younger player who can be signed on a more long-term contract. Perisic was signed on a two-year deal.
He wasn’t supposed to be a long-term fix anyway. Conte perhaps signed him for instant impact for two seasons because he liked what he saw at Inter Milan.
We have Ryan Sessegnon and Ben Davies waiting on the wings. Sergio Reguilon is also out on loan at Atletico Madrid. It’s not ideal if Perisic leaves so early.

But it is not the end of the world. It would be best to cash in on him in that case and invest that money and his wages elsewhere.
