Tottenham are looking to sign Villarreal star Nicolas Jackson
According to Fichajes, Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly looking to bolster their squad at the end of the season with the signing of Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal.
The 21-year-old attacker has been in fine form this season, notching up eight goals and three assists across all competitions. The prospect of playing for a big Premier League club like Tottenham will be an enticing option for the young talent, and Spurs have the finances to tempt Villarreal into selling their prized asset.
The North London club has been struggling to find consistency in their attack this season. Son Heung-min, who has been a talisman for Spurs in recent years, has not been in his best form, and the likes of Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski have not provided enough firepower to the team.
The signing of Nicolas Jackson could provide Tottenham with the spark they need in their attack. He is a versatile attacker who can play on either wing or as a central forward. His speed and dribbling skills make him a potent threat to any defence, and his finishing ability is second to none.
Tottenham have already made one signing during the January window with the addition of Arnaut Danjuma on loan. However, the Bournemouth winger is set to return to his parent club in the summer, and Tottenham will need to find a replacement.
The signing of Jackson would not only provide Tottenham with a long-term solution to their attacking problems but also add depth to their squad. With the prospect of European football next season, Spurs will need a strong squad to compete on all fronts.
Tottenham is not the only club interested in the young talent. Bournemouth and Aston Villa are also reportedly keeping tabs on the attacker. However, the lure of playing for a big Premier League club like Tottenham could be too much to resist for the 21-year-old.
If Jackson does sign for Tottenham, he will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business. Harry Kane, who has been one of the best strikers in the Premier League in recent years, could provide valuable guidance to the young attacker.
